You may have updates, that India Yamaha Motor has launched the updated variants of the bestselling Yamaha R15 version-2.0 (later termed as V-2.0) bikes in terms of color schemes and graphics to boost sales and create more excitement among youngsters, specifically.So now on R15 V-2.0 will also be available in four more attractive colors. And they are sexy enough to attract more standard crowd.Thundering Green (Special Edition), Racing Blue (Motogp edition), Raring Red (Standard color) and Invincible Black (Standard color).
Yamaha launched the variants of R15 V-2.0 keeping in mind these young and enthusiastic customers who are always looking to upgrade to a more stylish product to match their ever chang'g fashion statement and head turn'g personality.
I believe they are confidently stepp'g ahead with a belief that these variants will definitely help them in catapulting their sales to a new level in this year.
Racing blue (MotoGP edition)
Personally speaking about this bike, since its launch the R15 V-2.0 has gained significant and immense popularity. People actually follow them until they are dissapeared with a vroooooommmm.....
They have been found quoted, "We have launched the R15 V-2.0 in a complete new look in terms of color and graphics and are confident that these variants too will be an instant hit amongst the biking enthusiasts".
Don't forget, R15 V-2.0 was the first Indian 150 cc bike to house an Aluminium SwingArm, which has aided in weight loss compared to the earlier SwingArm.
Color variations & Pricing
The new Thundering Green (Special Edition) R15 Version 2.0 will be available at a price of Rs. 112,750. While the Racing Blue (Motogp edition) will be at a price of Rs. 113,750, Raring Red (Standard color) and Invincible Black (Standard color) will be at a price of Rs. 110,750 . Looks and Comfort
Talking about the looks this bike is amazing with the performance and every time it pass by, it is significantly soothing to the eyes. Getting to the choice, one may lie that biking is all about the quality of the ride and not the looks. But as a matter of fact you would not go for a performance freak bike with awful looks. It vrooms with a sexy tail light inspired by R6, always ready to race the tracks with racing graphics appearance.A partition on the seat is more comfortable for the rider, and the height and elivation given to the seat makes the rider get sporty leaning a bit forward. Obviously the rider will be having strain on his/her hands but he/she gotta feel the thrill.

Performance
Ever wondered that a 150 cc machine will ever be compared with 200+ cc machines. She's actually been the one and won the tracks with hearts on top. That's actually and significantly remarkable. It's because of its wonderful and powerful 149.8 cc Liquid cooled engine with Electronic Fuel Injection. This Liquid cooled engine tends to keep the bike cool even if you are at 100-120 kph for longer time and the engine is so robust that you will hardly find any vibrations at the speed of 100 kph. Fuel Injection system will supply the fuel directly with the aid of an intelligent electronic control unit.
Speed-wise it is so wise that you can roar the tracks at about 130-135 kph without pillion in stock conditions. Its acceleration in the lower RPMs is average but once you will cross the 5000-6000 range you can be a champ of "Oceans 11..12.. " or you may get vanish with-in a short time and with your skills .... it's quite understood.
Mileage
Company claims that this power bird will return a decent 40 kmpl of average. People usually complaints that it is below 30 kmpl and there are those who are happy at around 35+ kmpl. But lemme ask you a que that has Yamaha manufactured different bikes with different specification..? clearly answer is a BIG NO. So better check your handle and stop asking this que ki 'kitna deti hai...?'. Maintain it well and enjoy the drive. U will be happy. :)
Tyres & Braking
Yamaha dosen't dissapoint here as well as they have upgraded her older rear thin tyre to a sexy and muscular tyre. Braking is one of the most important aspect of biking and that when it is about a mini superbike. Althought this bike is not been provided with ABS, it dosen't need to put much effort to bring it to halt from 100kph. She calms down beautifully.

Instrument Cluster & Electricals
It has a stylish instrument cluster with a bright white backlight. It has an ODO, 2 Trip meters, a bold Speedometer and a Fuel gauge, all are aesthetically shaped and sized and are digital. A new plus is that it indicates the distance covered in reserve fuel. It has an analog RPM meter. Overall it’s pretty stylish and functional. It's dual headlamp is help you to keep a watch on the track with low and high beam at the same time, as one of its light is just for low beam but you can beam high with both the lights ON.
Cons
- Pillion's position is not as comfortable as it should be, body will lean forward all the time or you can adjust the position a bit.
- It is not that powerful at low end torque.
- If you met a crash it will be very costly, as its parts(original) are not cheap.
An Add-On
Driving this machine can be more breath-tak'g when you add up a sexy racing jacket and a racing helmet as a racing companion, plus you will be safe and can cross the thrilling limits and have better fun and you might fell the thrill to your bones if you go stronger and safer with these accessories.
This bike has genes of two internationally acclaimed super bikes i.e. R1 and R6, with a great technology bringing all together to roar Indian streets.
